My Story

I started my canine and equine services business in 2023, I put my love for dogs and horses and turned it into a business and I’ve never looked back , I love my job and looking after other peoples animals. My day to day is looking after peoples horses in the morning and evenings and then walking dogs during the day. I also do house sitting, looking after animals in there own homes, for this though my dogs come with me. Which works amazingly for me and everyone has a great time, i pride myself on leaving homes how i would want to come home to them so spotless. I have 5 dogs that i own myself and Zak who has lived with me since October of 2023. My passion is gundogs I love working my dogs in the field throughout October - January i have my picking up team of labs and spaniels.

Walking my three spaniels Purdy, Kate and Rosie.

My ambition is to further my business and make it my own, in January of 2024 i took my Level 3 Emergency First aid Qualification with IPet network so I know first aid in case of an emergency this helps both in my day to day running of the business knowing i can treat minor injuries and know how to act in the case of a major emergency, as well before getting them to the vets and also out in the field with my dogs.

I have my BHS level 1 and i also have a Triple Distinction *** from Hartpury college for Level 3 Extended Diploma Horse Management Equitation. I have worked for Eventer , Showjumper and Hunt kennels all this experience shows in my work nothing but perfection I work to work to the best of my abilities.

I feed all my dogs on Skinner’s dog food , so i decided to help other and sell it at a very reasonable price, i know how expensive it is to feed a multi dog household. I also feed Pureflax supplements both the oil and powders my labrador’s thrive on the joint and muscle powder. They are oil on the Pureflax oil and the 4 spaniels are on the advanced formula to support all there needs.

My newest addition to the business is my natural treat boxes my dogs love them and so i wanted to offer a reasonably priced box full of treats for your dogs.

My passion is working my dogs out in the field there is no better feeling than watching the dogs you trained work out in the field and its an even better feeling when you bred that dog yourself. Here is my dogs stories they are my passion.

Willow was my first and only dog Ive bought. I bought her in September of 2019 we had just had a family death and Willow was my way of getting over it she was my happy place she still is now even though she is the cheekiest dog I ownn but one of the most loyal. She is a springer x patterdale terrier, she will come out picking up with me but she is so fast you have to keep her for the end of the season, she was my best dogging in dog, when I lived on the shoot. She’s my little pocket rocket.

Tia is the most loyal Labrador you will ever meet, when I left my previous relationship she came with me, I met her when she was 2.5 years old she was very timid and just wanted to be loved and that I did I adore this dog as much as she does me. My whole family love her she will just melt into anyone’s lap or at anyone’s feet, She was also one of my best dogging in dogs but she became lame, so after a lot of research I found the Pureflax supplements and they have changed her, she doesn’t limp anymore and she not sore she can now manage a days beating and come on long walks without hurting. Tia is my snuggle bug thou shed happily sleep on the sofa all day long.

In 2020 I bred Purdy my chocolate sprocker spaniel she is the best of both world’s well that’s what I say anyways. I trained Purdy all by myself and she is very strong willed, she loves to push my buttons but she’s also my right hand, I wouldn’t be without her. On a days picking up she never gets tired and she doesn’t give up, she is always the last one back cause she always got that one more bird to find but she hardly ever wrong. With Purdy you just have to trust her the trainings there she knows what shes doing and she always comes back. She is my dog of a life time and my co-pilot for long journeys she a special one and she knows it.

Kate came to me from the old headkeeper of the shoot I was on, when she came she was extremely shy, her eyes had no sparkle and she was just a shell of a dog. I spent months getting to know her, seeing what she knew and sit wasn’t a thing she just cowered on the floor. Kate has her quirks you always have to speak softly to her, she didnt know her name when i got her, you cant wave your had around or you stick on a shoot day. But with so much time and paitents she is the happiest and sweetest girl she came out her shell and learned to play, she learned that affection was a good thing and she was the best mum to my latest Additon rosie and her litter mates. Kate is my i know what im doing girl on a shoot day, you dont have to ask her twice just point her in the right direction and let her go. She is my one dog that will not pick up though they are still shooting she always waits till the end. She my comeback girl.

Rosie I bred in 2022 she is my pride and joy i sat with Kate for 9 hours while she had her puppies. Rosie was my keeper as soon as i saw her she is the spitting image of her dad and i love that she has the full black face like both Kate and Roux, Rosie is the sweetest but the most cheeky girl, she lies on top of everyone else just like she did when she was tiny, she has them all wrapped around her paw. I have done all the training with Rosie i actually didnt think she would make a gundog as she just showed no interest in a dummy and then this past season I just decided to take her, on this drive we were stood just behind the guns, we could see everything that was going on and at the end of the drive after shed watched the other bring me back a few I let her off and she just retrieved me her first ever bird and never looked back, she is now one of my strongest picking up dogs at just 2. She is and always will be my puppy.

Zak he came to me in October of 2023 I do not own Zak he just lives with me, He came to me for picking up experience throughout the last season and he never went home, hes been back for a week, but he is so happy and settled here and with his owners abroad they love knowing how happy he is. I send updates monthly and when they ask. Zak is a very cheeky chappy he will push buttons if he thinks he can get away with it. Zak has only got eyes for me when we are in a room of people, he will take commands out working but out in the field he can be a bit mischevious you have to watch him cause hes only got eyes for the birds. Which is both an upside and a down side, getting his attention at the start wasn’t always easy but by the end of last season i had him just how I wanted him so the training for this year never stopped and im hopeful hes just as good this year. Zak is the boy.
