House Sitting
This week's Dog sitting dogs are Jack and Pickle.
I've looked after Jack multiple times and he fits in like he never left he loves my Rosie as they are about the same age and they just love to play. This cocker spaniel is the sweetest most loving boy he just loves to cuddle and be as close as possible. He is such a good boy out on our walks. Jack has a new not so little brother Pickle the 4 month old labrador. He is a playful boistrous little pup who just loves to rough and tumble. He has also taken to playing with Rosie who is just a bundle of fun. Pickle has been amazing no accidents, slept through the night with no questions asked going into his bed, he sits and waits for his food and he is so good off the lead just follows me around.
When I go house sitting I always ask the owners if there is anything they are working on with there dog and so with jack we always work on his recall, typcial cocker if he gets his nose down then it can get the better of him but he has been good as gold the last few house sits. Pickle is only 4 months old so with him just the basics who to walk on the lead nicely , sit, wait , lie down, recall. He is such a smart little pup.
Jack and Pickles owner have purchased 2 of our Natural treat boxes a puppy one and an adult one so they will love them when there owner comes home.
Pickle loves enrichment games he's used the snuffle mat and the slow feeding bowl to mentally tire him. Being around other dogs aswell as the ones he lives with is great for his social skills,I have a range of dogs my gundogs are very polite but some don't want to play all the time and they correct Pickle when he is being over the top but in the correct way he is learning how to act around all types of dogs from young to old, from playful to relaxed and from very friendly to learning when to leave a dog alone.
Pickle and Jack have both fit in perfectly and they are a pleasure to look after.
