House Sitting

House sitting is a very important job, your are trusted to look after someones pet and home, I take this role very seriously.

When your dog is in my care they have the option of joining my group walks or they can have solo walks your dog gets at least one walk throughout the day. Your dog is only left for a maximum of 4 hours at a time depending on age this may differ to a shorter length of time for an older dog or puppy.

For house sitting my dogs have to come with me, this is because I have no one to look after my dogs at home. This work so well for the clients I have all the dogs get on so well and I always get a message when i’m home that the owners dog is missing my dogs. I always leave every house I stay at immaculate when I leave, I leave your home how i would want to come home to it. Your house is cleaned everywhere I been every room i don’t need to use then that door gets shut.

When i come house sitting I ask that the house is clean, I leave your house clean for you to come home to so I just ask that i am given the same courtesy . I am happy to bring my own bedding I do this for most house sits and I bring plenty of blankets, that are washed and disinfected between each house sit. Hygiene is a top priority of mine when working with so many animals and different houses.

Things I do before I leave a house sit :

  • Bed is stripped and if i haven’t bought my own bedding it is washed.

  • All carpets are hoovered

  • All surfaces are wiped clean

  • Anything i’ve used will be cleaned and put away.

  • All your animals equipment will be cleaned and put away in the correct place.

  • Depending on what time of the day you are returning your dog will be walked before you get home.

  • Bins will be changed.

  • Floors mopped

  • Garden cleaned up of all dog mess.

House sitting/ dog sitting enables owners to be able to go away on holiday. If your dog doesn’t like kennels then house sitting is perfect for you.

Being trusted to look after someones house and animals is a job i take very seriously. When your dog is in my care they are cared for as if they are my own. No ask is too big, every animal/ families routine is different so that’s why when i have a meet and greet with you I give you forms to fill out so i know everything I need to know about your animal and there routine.
